GIS Portfolio

Greetings,
There are not enough overall positive things to be said about the UWF GIS Certificate program. I started with little to no understanding of what GIS is or how beneficial it can be. It is now my "go-to" topic of discussion for anyone wishing to better themselves academically or professionally. It is such a versatile field that everyone can benefit from a basic understanding and may even want to develop a focus in GIS.
The culminating event of the certificate program is the internship which also involves the creation of a GIS Portfolio. The portfolio is a representative sample of works accomplished throughout the certificate programs various courses of study. It is not all inclusive to every project accomplished but should give an overview of several fundamental skills and representative project types. It is heavy on the personal works accomplished but also contains a balance of background information on me to include resume, current goals, influences and direction for continued education.

My GIS Portfolio
As found in the link above my portfolio is hosted through my LinkedIn account. This particular host views the entire portfolio as a slideshow. A downloaded standalone version of the PDF includes fully functional links to all the pages from the table of contents as well as other links to various projects. Understand that these links will only remain intact so long as the material is hosted by UWF. It will need to be transferred to another host location once that happens.
Overall it was an excellent review to go through all of the collected works of the entire program. Seeing where I started and the extent of my personal growth with GIS was amazing here at the end of the program. Projects were instantly refreshed in my mind even though they had temporarily been overshadowed by everything that has come since. I look forward to continuing to work toward my degree but to also keep growing in GIS knowledge and skills.
Thank you to the instructors, aides, and staff that have helped me along the way to this certificate. I appreciate the hard work that has gone into creating the material that I have and future students will learn from. And now on to the next chapter.
